Elizabeth has over fourteen years experience and expertise as an optometrist working in both the independent sector and with many of the national chains. Since taking the plunge four years ago and setting up her own practice she has invested heavily in the latest optical equipment to provide the best possible eye examination and to aid in the detection of eye disease and other health problems. This often includes a range of specialised tests not available at other opticians. Uniquely for this area of the country this includes dyslexia screening for children and adults free of charge. 

After your eye examination our team of fully trained Optical Assistants will advise and help you select the best frame for your taste and budget. A cup of tea or coffee and lots of friendly chat will help you with this.

We stock a huge variety of frames to suit all tastes and budgets.  These range from a small collection which are free to patients on the NHS voucher scheme to the latest designer models including Christian Dior, D&G, Emporio Armani and French Connection.

Elizabeth will advise you on the lenses most suited for your life style and visual needs.

For those who want a change from spectacles we also run a fully independent contact lens practice.  With modern advances in technology there are now contact lenses suitable for everyone. You will be gently led through your assessment and all the stages to contact lens wear.
